Cove Day School provides daily bus service for day students and stops only at designated locations. Riding the school bus is a privilege, and students are expected to follow all bus rules and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

Riding the Bus

Students who ride the school bus are required to model good behavior. The following rules must be observed to maintain bus privileges:

  • Be on time at your designated bus stop.
  • Show respect to others and the bus driver.
  • Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
  • Always keep the aisle and exits clear.
  • Be courteous. Never use foul language or inappropriate gestures.
  • Keep hands, arms and other body parts inside the bus.
  • The use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • No food or drinks are allowed on the bus.
  • Do not damage the bus. You and your parents/guardians are responsible for any repairs if damages occur.
  • For your safety, do not distract the driver.
  • Always listen to the bus driver’s instructions. 

Bus Change Requests

If a student needs to be dropped off at a different location, parents must provide a written note or contact the school at 928-551-8249.

Transportation Cancellations Due to Inclement Weather

In the event of school delays or cancellations due to weather, the transportation department will notify parents via phone call or text message. Information will also be available on the following stations:

  • Radio Stations: KNDN (960 AM) & KTNN (660 AM)
  • Television Stations: KOB-TV & KOAT-TV
