FACE Program

“Keeping the Circle Strong with FACE” 

The Bureau of Indian Education’s (BIE) Family and Child Education (FACE) Program delivers high-quality educational services to families. FACE is managed by the BIE Early Childhood Education Office. 

The FACE Program serves children, families, and adults participating in learning opportunities. 

The FACE Program offers: 

• Family Enrichment Services (Prenatal to PreK) in the home, where a Parent Educator comes into the home one or twice a week to work with the parent. The parent educator provides hands-on activities for parent to do with their child, increasing parent interaction; books for the parent to read and interact with their child, and provides helpful information for the parent and her family’s well-being.
• PreKindergarten Services (4 – 5 year olds) in a classroom setting, Monday – Fridays, readying students for kindergarten through Teaching Strategies (Individual Teaching Experiences, FINCH Games, Shared Writing, Story Time, Wonder-Work-Share, Question of the Day, Gross Motor Play, Read Alouds, and PACT time).
• Adult Education Services for adults to work on goals they set for themselves (education, work, parenting, etc), attend parenting classes, and participate in PACT (Parent and Child Time) time, and document engagement activities at home.
