Family Math Night

Cove Day School recently welcomed students and their families for a fun and engaging Family Math Night. The event, open to Pre-K through 6th grade, featured hands-on math activities led by classroom teachers. Families worked side-by-side with their children, reinforcing math skills in a supportive and interactive environment.

A highlight of the evening was the restaurant-themed activity for kindergarten and primary grades, where students played the roles of chefs, waiters, and cashiers. They practiced real-world math skills like counting money, calculating food costs, and making change. Families attending all sessions can receive math-related incentives, such as classic board games promoting counting and strategy. With strong parent turnout — including families with multiple children enrolled — and positive feedback from surveys, the night was a great success!
